Mr. Anthony Alleyne is the Deputy Principal of the Deighton Griffith School, having served as teacher and IT Coordinator for over 13 years. Anthony loves working with and teaching young people and actively seeks out opportunities to do so. He has contributed at school by working with many committees and clubs and spearheading a number of initiatives.  Outside of school he has served as a President, Vice President, Secretary, Chairperson, Public Relations Officer and captain of different organizations and sporting clubs.

Anthony is a proud Toastmaster and was the Vice President of Pubic Relations of the Sunjet Toastmasters Club.  Through Toastmasters Anthony has developed strong public speaking and leadership skills, leading to his being a tutor in the topic at the University of the West Indies Open Campus.  He has a Masters in Education, a Bachelors in Computer Science, a Diploma in Education (Mathematics), is a certified Microsoft Systems Administrator, and holds a certificate in Social Media for Development.

Anthony, or “Tony” as he is called is a community and family person with strong roots in the Bayland and the Anglican Church. He is the husband of one, father of one, step-father of one, brother of one and believes that there is only one him. He loves all types of music (not singing), surfing the internet, photography, poetry, motivational reading, blogging and enjoys a good lime and laugh every once in a while.
